M-CLEA Bioresource Co., Ltd. Achieves Full AAALAC International Accreditation

Nomura Siam International Co., Ltd. (NSI) is pleased to announce that M-CLEA Bioresource Co., Ltd. (MCBC), our laboratory animal supplier in Thailand, has officially received Full Accreditation by AAALAC International, effective October 21, 2026.

AAALAC International (Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International) is an internationally recognized organization dedicated to promoting high standards of animal care and welfare in research and scientific institutions.

Following a recent site visit to MCBC's facility in Bangplee, Samut Prakan, Thailand, the AAALAC International Council on Accreditation recognized several key strengths of its animal care and use program, including:

• Strong Management Commitment: Comprehensive administrative support for the animal care and use program.

• Well-Maintained Facilities: Clean, well-organized, and properly maintained animal housing facilities.

• Animal Welfare Standards: Effective implementation of well-established animal welfare principles.

• Comprehensive Staff Training: A structured training program with a competency grading system to assess and monitor staff proficiency.

Based on its evaluation, the Council confirmed that MCBC's animal care and use program conforms to AAALAC International standards and officially awarded Full Accreditation.

This achievement reflects MCBC's commitment to maintaining high standards of laboratory animal care, welfare, and operational excellence.
